Fun place! After about a week on the island, we quickly learned through locals (on both sides of the island) that THIS is the place to be. So on a recent night we went and had a fun time. It was Pitbull night! So we got bald caps! Easily one of the highlights of our trip!
Last night was off the hook! From the awesome gentleman upfront to the fabulous bartenders, you guys rock! Thanks for making out-of-towners feel welcome!! To all of the staff and everybody who pulled off last nights “Bass Night”, I thank you!! Update***- I was lucky enough to come back to the special place and enjoy another fabulous evening!! Thank you My Bar staff, y’all rock!!
Cute place, i went too early for any partying but i was able to chat with some locals/regulars that were very nice and welcoming. Will definitely go back if im ever in the area again.
My bar is such a vibe My bf and I were in the search for fun, inclusive nightlight while staying in Kona. Found this place and we were so stoked it was karaoke night. The queens are talented and do amazing crowd work. We had such a blast and it was my bfs first lap dance This was truly the only place that was f’n fun on the island. I love the community, good music, the drinks were good, pool tables are free, plenty of room, nice outdoor patio, I loved all of the local conversationalist. Truly a night I’ll always remember
The slogan is "My Bar.. it's your bar too" and they really live by that philosophy. The amazing owners and staff strive to make everyone feel at home, and they hold some of the most diverse and exciting events in Kona!
My Bar was a blast! We went every night we were on the island. Our first night there was a Wednesday night and the incredible Sabel Cities was hosting her show. I was so impressed that it started on time and my side hurt from how hard Sable had me laughing. Don't miss her show but be on time because it really does start at 9:00 pm unlike most drag shows. We really did go every night because we had so much. They have karaoke on Thursday night and Sunday night and who could forget the swimwear night on Saturday. My Bar was also the host of the Hawai'i Gay Kickball Classic we were playing in. They hosted an amazing opening night party for us and closing night party. I will disagree with other reviews on the pizza because we loved the pizza and chicken tenders! The bartenders and staff are AMAZING!
An amazing bar with different nightly events. Each time I visit I run into locals that i’ve meet before and meet new people. The owners obviously work so hard to bring the community together to feel safe and welcomed in Kona. It’s a must if you are visiting. Aloha!
